We believe the most beautiful photographs aren't staged. They're the fleeting glances, the quiet moments, the laughter between friends and the people you love the most gathered in one place. Our approach is simple: create timeless, elegant imagery while allowing you to be fully present in your day.
Altered Images was created from a simple belief: the most meaningful photographs are the ones that make you feel something years later.
We are Nicky and Stephen, partners in life and the people behind Altered Images.
We married in May 2024 at the beautiful Rudding Park in Harrogate. Since we met, we've really appreciated all the little moments we get together and capturing them so we can look back and relive those moments. Our home is filled with pictures of friends, family and the most significant moments to us such as our first holiday together in Bordeaux, when Stephen proposed and of course photos from our wedding.
Together, we've built a photography experience centred around authenticity, elegance and genuine connect because of the importance we have placed upon it in our own lives. Capturing the authentic moments we've spent together well evokes the memories and feelings we had at time, and we want to share that passion with you.
Stephen is our lead photographer and has a laid-back manner that disguises the hours or organisation and hard-work that he puts into everything he does.
On your day, we will guide you when you need direction and step back when the moments deserve to unfold naturally. By the end , many couples tell us it felt like have friends alongside them rather than photographers.
This is approach we aim to recreate with everyone we work with - because your wedding day is not a photoshoot. It's a collection of moments that can never be repeated - the excitement, embrace, laughter and quiet intimate moments. Our role is preserve those memories beautifully and honestly, allow you to be fully present while we document the story unfolding around you.
