What is your photography style?
Our approach combines natural documentary photography with an editorial eye. We want your photographs to feel elegant, timeless and beautifully composed, while still feeling like your wedding and the people who shared it with you.
Much of the day is photographed as it naturally unfolds — the laughter, reactions, quiet moments and unexpected things that make your celebration unique. When it comes to your couple portraits, we'll give you gentle guidance and direction so you never feel left wondering what to do.
The result is a collection of photographs that feels natural and effortless, but beautifully considered.
We're nervous about having our photographs taken. Will you help us?
Absolutely. Most couples tell us they're not used to being in front of a camera, and you don't need to be.
Our job is to make you feel comfortable, not turn your wedding day into a photoshoot. We'll get to know you before the wedding and give you as much guidance as you need. There's no expectation to perform or spend the day posing for photographs.
When we're creating your portraits, we'll gently guide you into beautiful light and natural positions, then give you space to relax and be yourselves.
Often, the best photographs happen when you forget the camera is there.
How involved will you be on the wedding day?
That depends on what's happening.
We'll be there when you need us - helping organise family photographs, gently guiding you during portraits and making sure we capture the important moments - but we also know when to step back.
The majority of your day should be spent enjoying your wedding, not being directed around it. We work quietly and unobtrusively for much of the celebration, allowing real moments to unfold naturally.
How long will you be with us on our wedding day?
Our collections are designed around telling the complete story of your wedding day.
Full-day coverage allows us to capture the anticipation of the morning, the ceremony, time with your family and friends, your portraits and the celebrations as the evening begins. We also offer additional coverage for longer days or couples who would like us to stay later into the celebrations.
We'll talk through your plans with you and help make sure the coverage suits the rhythm of your day.
Do we need two photographers?
Not every wedding needs a second photographer, but for some celebrations it can add another valuable perspective.
A second photographer can be particularly useful for larger weddings, when preparations are taking place in different locations, or when you'd like more comprehensive coverage of your guests and celebrations.
We'll happily talk through your plans and give you honest advice about whether we think a second photographer would add value to your wedding.
How many photographs will we receive?
Every wedding is different, so we don't believe in reducing your memories to a fixed number of photographs.
We carefully select and edit the images that best tell the complete story of your day. You'll receive a generous collection of finished photographs, including the important moments you expect and the smaller moments you may not have seen.
Our focus is always on quality and storytelling rather than delivering hundreds of near-identical images simply to reach a number.
How will we receive and share our photographs?
Your finished photographs will be delivered through your own private online gallery, making it simple to view, share and enjoy your memories.
Every wedding collection also includes a personalised mobile gallery, giving you a beautiful way to keep your wedding photographs close at hand. Your images are securely stored in your curated gallery, rather than simply becoming lost amongst thousands of photographs on your phone.
It's designed to make revisiting and sharing your memories effortless.
Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding photography?
Yes. Engagement photography is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this chapter of your lives before the wedding - and it can also help you feel more comfortable being photographed together.
A relaxed pre-wedding shoot gives us the chance to get to know each other, understand how you are together in front of the camera and create some beautiful photographs without the pressure or schedule of a wedding day.
Do you help us plan the photography for the day?
Yes. Before your wedding, we'll take the time to understand your plans, priorities and the things that matter most to you.
We'll help you think about timings for family photographs, portraits and the parts of the day you'd particularly like us to capture. We can work alongside your venue, wedding planner and other suppliers to make sure photography fits naturally into the day.
Our aim isn't to create a rigid schedule around photographs. It's to plan things well enough that you can relax and enjoy yourselves.
Do you photograph weddings outside Yorkshire?
Yes. Although we're based in South Yorkshire and particularly love photographing weddings from Barnsley to Sheffield and Harrogate, York and Yorkshire's beautiful venues, we're happy to travel further afield.
